The Roxbury Institute Appoints Jaime S. Schwartz, MD, FACS as its Director of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Leading Expert in Breast and Body Procedures Joins Beverly Hills' Team of Elite Specialists
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Roxbury Institute in Beverly Hills, California today announced that board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz, has joined the luxury medical facility as its new director of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Schwartz is a lauded pioneer of breast surgeries, including complicated revisions and reconstructions. He is one of only 10 surgeons in the country tasked with developing national guidelines and techniques for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a national expert on the use of gummy-bear implants. Dr. Schwartz is an exciting addition to The Roxbury Institute's team-approach to re-inventing the patient experience.
"I am incredibly honored to join the Roxbury family," says Dr. Schwartz. "Working in a facility such as this, alongside some of the most experienced and specialized medical professionals in their fields, we are bound to change the game in terms of patient care and results. This really is a dream scenario; not just for patients, but for surgeons as well. What we're doing here is very special."
Dr. Schwartz graduated in the top three percent of his class from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he matched directly into a six-year plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Georgetown University Hospital. During this time, he furthered his expertise in breast cancer care, studying tumor biology and the molecular basis of cancer at the Lombardi Cancer Center, designated by the National Cancer Institute. He later went on to serve as chief of plastic surgery at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital where he was responsible for building their entire program, and eventually made his way to Beverly Hills where he was featured on the show, "Botched."
"The Roxbury Institute was built on the vision that top innovation, expertise, and comprehensive patient care should all be housed under one roof," says Dr. David Amron, founder of the Institute. "Dr. Schwartz could not be more aligned with our mission. His experience and skill in the areas of breast and body reconstruction is unparalleled. I know he will truly change the lives of the patients he treats."
