The SF LGBT Center Announces the 12th Anniversary Soiree
As the largest fundraising event of the year, Soiree will help the Center address some of the most pressing issues in our community.
SAN FRANCISCO, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Community Center is proud to announce Soiree 2014, our marquee fundraising event of the year. All proceeds will go directly into Center programs and initiatives that combat economic inequality, youth displacement, homelessness and other key issues in our community. Themed as a Jazz Tribute to San Francisco's Beat Generation, the event will be a celebration of the counter-culture movement that's enriched the diversity in our wonderful city.
Soiree will take place on Saturday, April 5, from 6:30 pm to midnight at the beautiful City View at Metreon. Individual tickets will be sold at $95 each and VIP tickets at $150 each. These can be purchased now at www.sflgbtcenter.eventbrite.com.
"As the land of hope and opportunity for many in the LGBT community, San Francisco is not without its challenges" said Rebecca Rolfe, Executive Director. "Soiree allows us to celebrate how far we've come, but it's also an important chance for us to band together and help out those most in need."
The event's entertainment will be provided by local acts including DJ Robot Hustle, Moisat, Trixxie Carr, DJ Rapid Fire, Fauxnique, DJ Pink Lightning, Miss Rahni and DJ Taco Tuesday. Those attending the VIP reception will also enjoy special performances from Veronica Klaus and Joshua Klipp & the Klipptones. Everyone will have a chance to bid on amazing items in the Center's silent auction, including a 7-night stay in a beautiful, beachfront Maui condominium and airline tickets from United Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
A very special thank you goes to our lead sponsor, Sutter Health / California Pacific Medical Center, and all of our corporate partners and individual hosts without whom this event wouldn't be possible.
