The Silent Mental Health Crisis Among Physicians: An Alarming Issue Addressed in New Book

The author, Dr. Kelly Carothers, has been an ER physician for over 15 years. She received her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 1997. Prior to that she obtained a B.S. in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. Dr. Carothers also served as a physician and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of major, and was part of a unit that was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor.
