The Taiwan Fund, Inc. Announces Portfolio Manager Change

NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Taiwan Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: TWN) announces today that Mr. Shifeng Ke has been designated portfolio manager for the Fund.  Mr. Ke joined Martin Currie 's Asia team in 1997 initially to focus on specialist China strategies before broadening his remit to cover Greater China, including Taiwan. Previously, Mr. Ke practiced law before moving to China's ministry of labor and social security in 1990.
