The Wall-Wattens Region of Tyrol Invites you to Enjoy a Cheerful, Sparkling Family Summer
HALL IN TIROL, Austria, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
10 picturesque villages and the historic town of Hall in Tirol were seemingly created for unforgettable family holidays in the Tyrolean mountains: In Alpenpark Karwendel, the biggest contiguous nature sanctuary in the Alps, you can experience first-hand Tyrol's unique natural world, or enjoy the fun of rolling big wooden balls down tracks at the largest facility of its kind anywhere in the world (http://www.kugelwald.at ). Swarovski Crystal Worlds, the region's most visited attraction, invites explorers big and small to embark on a journey through sparkling chambers of wonder.
A completely natural world of fun: "Ball Forest" on the Glungezer
It isn't just kids who are fascinated by ball runs. The fact that this game was seemingly created for the unique natural setting of Tyrol's mountain world, is impressively demonstrated this summer here in the Hall-Wattens region ( http://www.hall-wattens.at ): Beginning in June here at 1960 m above sea level, big wooden balls will begin to roll 200 meters through the high forest down tracks made of Swiss pine. Just like on a roller coaster, the balls will trundle along it from tree to tree, disappear into a hollow tree trunk, rumble through a steep part, or jump barely above the forest floor to the next section. The tracks are laid out at different heights and angles between the weathered pines, firs and spruces of Hall's popular local mountain, the Glungezer. To get to the high starting point, the ball is transported either on a cable lift, funicular or from a tree house, which stands on stilts in the center of this some 7,000 m² play area.
Paying the eagles and marmots a visit: Nature Watch
If you want to get even closer to nature, "Nature Watch" will be perfect for you: Equipped with binoculars developed by Swarovski Optik especially for these hikes and accompanied by trained Nature Watch guides, you will set out on a journey of discovery into the pristine countryside of Alpenpark Karwendel: Marvel at rare wild animals and plants - our young naturalists aren't the only ones who won't soon forget this fantastic experience.
Swarovski Crystal Worlds - in the realm of the giant
At Swarovski Crystal Worlds, a giant watches over his treasure, which consists of 14 Chambers of Wonders. Unforgettable experiences await both inside and out: In nice weather, the giant's park draws visitors with its maze and numerous opportunities to stroll, play and have fun. If you have worked up an appetite after all those memorable moments, you will find a menu full of variety at CAFÉ-terra, or perhaps you would prefer to enjoy a lavish picnic in the park out in the sunshine.
Family Fest inside the giant
July is time for the traditional Family fest: Numerous attractions offer all kinds of fun, games and variety, sure to set the pulses of crystal fans racing with excitement. In the Kids' Studio, young visitors have the space to design their very own crystalline souvenir.
