The White House taps agencyEA to design annual Christmas decor Chicago-based agency continues longstanding relationship with The White House, manages design of the holiday decor for the President and First Lady
CHICAGO, Nov. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AgencyEA, a Chicago-based event and experiential marketing agency, was selected to design, manage and produce the annual White House holiday decor for the third year in a row.

"This is a unique opportunity to design thoughtfully crafted, interactive ideas that speak to all people and best represent the First Lady's spirit and initiatives."
In a close collaboration with the Social Secretary's office, EA envisioned the theme, creative design strategy and logistical execution. This year's theme "Joy To All" is a tribute to and a celebration of the classic holiday joys that warm our hearts and make our spirits bright.
"The simple traditions of the holiday season can not only remind us to appreciate all that is joyous in our lives, but also inspire us to carry forth goodwill as we start a new year," added Martinez. "This spirit is especially evident in the Blue Room, where the 'Joining Forces' tree expresses the importance of taking action to support military families."
Under the supervision of Martinez and her team, nearly 100 volunteers from across the country transformed 17 distinct spaces into works of art and decorated 43 trees.
EA is familiar with the White House Christmas after managing the holiday decor in 2011 and 2010. The agency also produced six events for the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee as well as numerous projects for Obama for America during the 2011 campaign.
