NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Williams Capital Group, L.P., a leading boutique investment bank announced today that it has added a new division, Eland Capital, to address structured finance opportunities for corporate, federal, state and local government clients. Eland Capital is led by William Lighten, who has over 20 years of Wall Street experience and has held a number of key leadership positions within Lehman Brothers' securitization and mortgage businesses, including global head of Structured Finance and global head of the Mortgage Capital Division.

The Eland Capital's additional principals are comprised of seven seasoned finance and research professionals - Nadja Fidelia, Damian Harbutt, Vinay Karle, Prafulla Nabar, Gopalkrishna Rajagopal, Nelson Soares and Samir Tabet - with an average of 20+ years management and product experience in Fixed Income and Structured Finance areas such as: ABS/RMBS Finance, and related Quantitative Research, Mortgage Loan Origination, Fixed Income Sales and Trading as well as Equity, Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income Quantitative Research and Analytics. Eland Capital will focus on a broad array of asset and mortgage finance opportunities including securitization, whole loan dispositions as well as asset valuation and advisory services. Additionally, Eland Capital will leverage its quantitative research capabilities to provide portfolio analysis and asset management services.
