Therap's Mobile App Features Medication Administration Recording Tool

WATERBURY, Conn., Feb. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap's intellectual and developmental disability software includes a Medication Administration Records (MAR) mobile app allowing nurses, caregivers and certified med-passing staff or individuals to record their own med passes as part of their daily documentation.  The simple, color-coded tool can highlight only scheduled medications at a particular time to allow for quick entry of records in community settings and other LTSS locations.

The Medication Administration Record app allows users to record administrations and view any current or upcoming scheduled medications in a single day view, with an ability to navigate forward or backward to identify missed medications, or enter notations on particular passes. Using this app, users can conveniently access the MAR module from their mobile phones while attending individuals and record medications just as they would using Therap from a computer. Additionally, users can administer and check PRN medications and treatments, scheduled medications and treatments, or other medically tracked documentation for the people they support. Therap features industry-standard First DataBank drug referencing tool which is available via a single tap along with the image of the medication to identify the drug details, side effects, storage, missed dose/overdose instructions and more information. Users can also access allergy records, diagnoses and contacts directly from the app.

From within drug details, the medication history includes detailed information including side effects, drug-allergy reactions and drug-drug interactions. With the medication history tool, nurses have the necessary information to reduce and avoid medication errors. The tool features the option to export current medication reports including treatments on a monthly grid; reports further help to reduce medication errors and catch discrepancies.
