Think Live Escape Games Expands with the Launch of Sharky's Lounge

"I was looking for a different feel and game play for this new room," says Shannon Best, co-founder of Think Escape Rooms in Fort Lauderdale. "I wanted to utilize the height of our ceilings and take the game inverted. Sharky's Lounge is a room with a twist, and that's the true test of any well-crafted escape room game."
The premise of Sharky's Lounge is that hustling legend Sharky, now retired from the pool circuit, has decided to open his own lounge. However, this isn't your average billiards hall: He has changed the rules of how and even where the game is played. To escape in 60 minutes, you must beat Sharky at his own game. Don't forget: The most important rule is to sink the eight ball.
When creating a new room, Best starts by getting a feel for the space and thinking about what concept could be a good fit. None of Think's escape room games are pre-bought; everything is built on-site. Once the theme of the room is decided, Best designs it using Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD).
"Since we construct all of our rooms from scratch, each element is completely unique," Best says. "Our authentic approach attracts many different types of customers, from birthday celebrations, to bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate teams and everything in between."
Companies such as Citrix, Toyota, Sun Trolley and Royal Caribbean have participated in corporate team building experiences at Think Live Escape Games.
"For the past two summers Citrix has taken our Fort Lauderdale interns to Think Live Escape Games as a team building activity," says Faby Moreu, Recruiting Coordinator, University Relations Representative at Citrix. "They absolutely enjoy it! Being locked in a room for one hour trying to solve a murder mystery is a great way for everyone to learn how to communicate with each other, solve problems under pressure in a fun environment and all while meeting others on their team."
