Third annual China Sourcing Fairs in Mumbai boast 76 percent increase in pre-registered visitors
The largest Greater China-products exhibitions in India
MUMBAI, India, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The China Sourcing Fairs opened today in Mumbai. Now in their third year, the Fairs are the largest Greater China-products exhibitions in India. Prior to the opening, the Fairs reported a 76 percent increase in the number of buyers who had pre-registered to attend the events.

The China Sourcing Fairs feature manufacturers from Greater China (mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan). The co-located events comprise Electronics & Components, Hardware & Building Materials, Auto Parts & Accessories, Security Products, Home Products, Gifts & Premiums and Bathroom Products. The events are being held on September 8-10, 2010, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. In India, the Fairs are managed by Pico Event Management, under license from Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL).
Officially opening the events were:
- Shri Bhagwan J. Deokar, President, Builder's Association of India (BAI)
- Kamal Dujodwala, Vice President, The India-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCCI)
- Niu Qingbao, Consul General, Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai
- Spenser Au, Deputy CEO, Global Sources
Trade volumes between India and China reached US$42 billion last year. In the first half of this year, trade volumes have already reached US$32 billion, or 76 percent of last year's levels in half the time.
