Thomas P. Woerner Named Senior Vice President, National Sales for Examiner.com
Marketing and Publishing Veteran to Lead Innovative Social Media Sales Program
NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas "Tom" P. Woerner, former Publisher of Brandweek magazine and most recently the President and founder of Vergrandis Marketing, has joined Examiner.com as senior vice president of National Sales. Mr. Woerner has served as a consultant to Examiner.com since July of 2010 and has played a key role in partnering with major brands such as HGTV, Home Depot and American Family Insurance.
As a recognized authority and frequent speaker on the subject of brand marketing strategies and media consumption trends, Mr. Woerner will be responsible for driving national revenue for Examiner.com, primarily through the groundbreaking Examiner Connect custom marketing program. Examiner Connect combines paid media with content and social media that is specifically generated to be mutually relevant to a brand and the information needs of a targeted audience.
