Three New Solutions: American HealthTech Rolls Out Connectivity, Outcomes Reports and Therapy Compliance Initiatives
Solutions ready providers for alliances, access and answers that take clinical and financial performance to new heights
JACKSON, Miss., Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American HealthTech (www.healthtech.net), the Ultimate Connectivity Partner in long-term care, announces three initiatives that empower providers to drive efficiencies and better coordinate care transitions, as today's silos of care become increasingly replaced by strong, interconnected alliances responsible for outcomes-driven vs. volume-driven care.
- Connectivity, for alliances. American HealthTech unveiled new connectivity options, driven by standards-based, repeatable and cost-effective approaches for providers to create interoperable alliances with hospitals, home care agencies, partners, and more. David Houghton, chief information officer of Diversicare Management Services said, "With AHT's integrated EMR application, we have a clean database for connecting all kinds of systems. We're ready." According to Teresa Chase, president of American HealthTech, "Providers and partners can now share information as patient episodes unfold and create complete electronic health records in the process. It's straightforward and inexpensive to set up."
- Outcomes Reporting, for ultimate access. American HealthTech's new outcomes reports will help providers track costs, quality and hospital readmissions rates. According to Chase, "The systematic, accurate, real-time reporting of a provider's superior outcomes vs. those of competitors will help lock in referral traffic and revenue streams, not to mention getting providers a seat at the negotiating table with the hospital C-suite. Also, from a leadership perspective, providers get access to measure progress as they transform their organization to produce better outcomes."
- Therapy Compliance, for answers. Effective October 1, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) final rule will adjust therapy rates with an 11.1% cut to Medicare rates. "American HealthTech has been on top of the impact to clients' workflow, educational answers and software updates that will change the way therapy is assessed, calculated and reported," said Chase. "When the new rules take effect, our clients will be in compliance on day one, with no disruption in service."
