Ford Motor Company returns as the Presenting Sponsor of AutoGlow, building upon 85 years of support for The Children's Center. Hosted by Lisa & Bill Ford and Nicki & Alan Mulally, this year's theme "Detroit Razzle Dazzle" brings back the era in which The Children's Center was founded – the Roaring '20s – with its speakeasies, glitz and "Great Gatsby"-style glamour.
The event has been expanded this year to accommodate 200 additional guests following last year's 1,000-guest sell-out. Held at Detroit's Ford Field, AutoGlow will feature spectacular food and drinks, Roaring '20s era decor, live music and entertainment. During the evening, guests will enjoy a pre-reception prior to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) Charity Preview, as well as '20s-inspired cuisine, live jazz and dancing upon their return from the NAIAS event.
AutoGlow 2014 "Detroit Razzle Dazzle" will take place at Ford Field on Friday, January 17, 2014, from 4:30 p.m. – Midnight. The pre -Reception will take place 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. The Main Celebration will run from 8 p.m. to Midnight. There will be continuous shuttles to and from the NAIAS Charity Preview for AutoGlow guests.
Tickets are $275 each on or before Dec. 15, 2013 and $325 each on or after Dec. 16, 2013. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thechildrenscenter.com or by phone at (313) 262-7123. In order to purchase an AutoGlow ticket, individuals must be a NAIAS Charity Preview ticket holder.
Proceeds from AutoGlow provide therapy for children who have experienced trauma associated with abuse, neglect and mental illness. At the 2013 event, more than $250,000 net was raised for the organization. The event is also an opportunity to celebrate The Children's Center's founding in 1929.
Sponsorships are available by contacting Marletta Boyd II at The Children's Center by calling (313) 670-5355 or by email at [email protected].
