Tiger Peak Capital Changes Name To Tygon Peak Capital

NEW YORK, Dec. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger Peak Capital ("Tiger Peak"), a New York-based private equity firm that invests in the North American lower middle-market, today announced that the firm is changing its name to Tygon Peak Capital ("Tygon Peak"). 

While the company reviewed its name prior to selecting Tiger Peak Capital, in its subsequent efforts to trademark the name, it has become apparent that the name too closely resembles a number of other financial entities to be awarded a trademark. The company has decided that the wisest course of action is to adopt a more unique identity.

"We don't want to cause distraction or possible confusion with other firms so we are opting to create a distinctive name that we can legally safeguard," said founder and Managing Partner Haran Narulla. In September of this year, the firm announced its second investment when it acquired a majority stake in Voice Comm, a national leader in supply chain management services for the mobile device accessories industry. Tygon Peak's first investment, which closed in October 2017, was in a specialty home healthcare business providing care to patients with chronic ailments.
