NEW YORK, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan Advisors, a $4 billion alternative asset management firm announced today that it will be hosting its inaugural Insurance Industry Hedge Fund Investing Summit on Thursday, April 10^th in New York City.

This full-day event will bring together several of the insurance industry's largest hedge fund allocators, along with additional carriers seeking to build out their portfolio of alternatives.

Hedge funds have historically represented a relatively small piece of insurer investment allocations. This event is designed to create a dialogue among insurers and industry advisors regarding the advantages of hedge fund investing, the role they can serve in an insurer's portfolio and the challenges insurers may face when building out their exposure.

Speakers will include industry leaders Chris Graham of Nationwide Insurance, Barton Holl of Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management, Rob Leary of TIAA-CREF Asset Management, Chris Paolino of Hartford Investment Management Company and Maria Tarhanidis of MetLife. Presentations and panel discussions will cover a variety of related topics including the state of the hedge fund industry, changing portfolio dynamics and accessing the hedge fund market.
