Title Resource Group Announces Acquisition in New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H., April 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Title and settlement company Title Resource Group (TRG) announced today that its New Hampshire-based subsidiary, Market Street Settlement Group, LLC, has acquired the assets of Horizon Settlement Services, Inc. The Horizon brand name will continue to be used for the present time, but will eventually transition to the Market Street brand. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Market Street Settlement Group has been a leading force in the title and settlement industry throughout New Hampshire and Maine since 1984. Horizon Settlement Services, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire, has also been a prominent player in the industry, offering similar services throughout the state.

As part of the acquisition, Market Street has acquired Accredited Real Estate Academy (AREA), Horizon's real estate educational platform. AREA provides real estate instructional classes, including "for credit" offerings approved by the State of New Hampshire Real Estate Commission. Market Street will bolster the already robust catalog of AREA classes with its own educational offerings.
