NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations' Technology & Maintenance Council opened the doors on one of the organization's largest exhibit halls ever as part of the 2016 TMC Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition.
"We are pleased and proud that this year's TMC exhibit hall features nearly 400 companies – including every single major truck manufacturer and component supplier," said Carl Kirk, ATA vice president of maintenance, information technology and logistics and TMC executive director. "This event continues to be the premier demonstration of truck technology in North America, a fact that TMC's members can and should be proud of."
This year's exhibit features more than 390 vendors cutting across all aspects of the trucking industry and follows ATA's first Executive Leadership Forum, co-hosted by Transport Topics and sponsored by National Fleet Services LLC.
"We're honored that ATA would bring some of the leading executives in trucking to Nashville and to TMC as part of their leadership forum, and to celebrate our six decades of working to enhance the professionalism of the technician community," said TMC Chairman Kevin Tomlinson, director of maintenance, South Shore Transportation. "ATA's support, along with the support of all of our allied partners, is an important reason why TMC continues to be a leader in advancing trucking industry equipment maintenance."
The 2016 TMC Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition, presented by premier sponsor the Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry, also called ACT1, is open through Wednesday, and registration is open at the Music City Center, Nashville, Tenn.
