TNDSYS and Secure Mountain Announce Teaming Agreement
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TNDSYS a Tennessee based data center operator today announced it has signed a unique teaming agreement with Virginia based Secure Mountain, LLC, a data center provider.
Under the agreement, the companies will now jointly pursue commercial and government data hosting and managed service opportunities for their facilities located in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina and Southwest Virginia, an area that is part of the greater Tennessee Valley Corridor (TVC), one of the premier Science and Technology regions in the nation.
TNDSYS owns and operates a total of five Tier 2 and 3 data storage facilities with over 81,000 square feet of available space with more than 101 Petabytes of available and highly secure and compliant data storage capacity.
Secure Mountain owns and is constructing Phase One of its 22 acre Underground Technology Park to house multiple highly energy efficient and secure data storage and managed services facilities, all protected by a 250' thick layer of solid rock.
According to Fabrizio Bortolon, Chief Operating Officer of TNDSYS, "This agreement makes perfect sense as commercial and government clients seek lower costs for data management by choosing technology providers that don't have the financial and infrastructure burdens of being located in high density metropolitan areas of America." Bortolon went on to say, "The region already benefits from a highly skilled technology workforce and optimal infrastructure that gives us a stronger competitive advantage as a team."
George Foresman President of Secure Mountain said, "This is a logical step because it unites the attributes of both companies with decades of cross border cooperation to grow the technology capabilities of this region." Said Foresman, "Customers want data-storage and services delivered in a way that provides good business value and is highly secure. This teaming arrangement allows us to pivot off the strength of cooperation to give clients better data management solutions at a lower cost and with much less risk."
