Todd Rapp Purchases John Himle's Interest In Himle Rapp & Company

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- John Himle, founder and CEO of Himle Rapp & Company, Inc., announced he has sold his ownership interest in the firm to Todd Rapp, president and current shareholder. Rapp will be the sole owner and CEO of the re-branded firm, Rapp Strategies, Inc.

Himle originally founded the firm in June of 1982 as Himle & Associates, which was rebranded into Himle Horner Inc. in March of 1989 with the partnership of Tom Horner. Rapp became a minority shareholder in 2008 with the purchase of some of Horner's shares, and Himle and Rapp purchased the remainder of Horner's shares in 2010 after Horner became a candidate for Minnesota Governor. The firm was subsequently re-branded to Himle Rapp & Company, Inc.

Over the years, the company developed a strong portfolio of client engagements providing high-level strategic services related to communications, public affairs, reputation and risk/crisis management.

"After 35 years of a very successful run leading this firm, the time is right for me to pursue some business and professional opportunities that I have been considering for some time," said Himle. "The fact Todd has been associated with the company in a leadership position since December 2001 means that we can facilitate a smooth transition for both clients and staff."

While Himle is formally ending his ownership and employment with the company right away, he will assist Rapp with the transition. Himle has formed a new company, Himle LLC – some of his current clients will follow him to the new firm, plus he is considering some additional business opportunities.
