Todd Welch Receives the Paul Earl Jr. Memorial Scholarship From Gatehouse Academy

PHOENIX, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Gatehouse Academy is pleased to announce that Todd Welch will be receiving their Paul Earl Jr. Memorial Scholarship to continue his studies in a graduate program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Mr. Welch is the current Director of Admissions for Gatehouse Academy, as well as a Gatehouse alumnus. He will be pursuing a Master of Business Administration.

A former addict himself, this Toledo, Ohio native is familiar with the academy's program and the tools addicts need for recovery. He visited numerous treatment centers, medical interventionists and state methadone programs over a ten-year span before nearly dying and going into a coma from a drug overdose at age 22. After finding help at Gatehouse Academy in 2006, he got sober and went on to complete a bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on chemical dependency and addictions studies at Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona. He also returned to Gatehouse Academy to work as the Director of Admissions.
