WASHINGTON, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by the  Iran Policy Committee:

WHEN: 11:00 am; Friday, 8 April 2011

WHERE: National Press Building, Zenger Room

WHAT: As part of its mission to educate the public about Iran, the Iran Policy Committee (IPC) will be hosting a press conference to address the attack this morning on the 3,400 unarmed Iranian dissidents, residents of Camp Ashraf by the Iraqi Forces.

WHY: Beginning this morning, April 8, 2011, more than 2,500 Iraqi troops; backed by armored vehicles, Humvees and heavy weapons attacked the unarmed residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq. At least 31 residents, including 7 women have been killed so far.

WHO:   A number of senior former U.S. government officials, including Governor Howard Dean ; Ambassador John Bolton ; FBI Director Louis Freeh ; and Ambassador Dell Dailey , Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the State Department, will make a statement on the massacre of the Camp Ashraf residents this morning.  Video footage and pictures of the attack will be shared with the participants.
