CHICAGO, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Some Illinoisans looking for a break at the gas pump got lucky today. In celebration of the new Free Gas instant ticket, the Illinois Lottery treated the first 300 cars at Circle K, 401 West Madison, in Oak Park and Huck's Convenience Store, 2801 Lindbergh Boulevard, in Springfield to $20 in free fuel and a Free Gas instant lottery ticket – proving "Anything's Possible" with the Illinois Lottery.
People lined up in droves to receive complimentary gas and a chance to scratch and win free gas prizes on the Illinois Lottery's new instant game. The Free Gas instant ticket – launched earlier this month – is the first of its kind, offering an experiential prize instead of cash. Under The Good Life family of games, Free Gas offers more than 700 Gas Card prizes ranging from $15,000 to $650 in free gasoline, plus more than $7 million in total cash prizes.
Free Gas does not offer a cash option on gas prizes. Overall odds of winning a prize on the Free Gas instant ticket are 1-in- 4.48. This $2 game is available at more than 8,100 Lottery retailers statewide.
