Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994, both from Mississippi State University. Since 2007, Johnson has worked for Petrobras as the lead mechanical engineer on the Cascade & Chinook FPSO project team. He has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry working for various offshore engineering companies, OEM's, and major oil and gas production companies.
