Toshiba Announces Addition Of Silicon Nitride Bearing Ball Blanks And Engine Components To Its Diverse Product Portfolio
Industry-Leading Components Will Complement TAEC's Advanced Materials Product Line
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC)*, a committed leader that collaborates with technology companies to create breakthrough designs, today announced that it will now sell and support the silicon nitride bearing ball blanks and engine components manufactured by Toshiba Materials Co. Ltd. These products, formerly represented by Enceratec, a joint venture of Cummins, Inc. and Toshiba Materials Co., Ltd., will now be available direct from TAEC to customers in Europe and North America.

Other advanced materials and components currently available from TAEC include high thermal conductivity ceramic substrates for high power electronic circuits; amorphous cores for voltage regulation and electronic circuit noise suppression; specialty tungsten and molybdenum wire and components for lighting and inspection applications, and scintillating crystals and screens for x-ray based inspection and security systems.
