TOTVS Adopts NoSQL through Partnership with Couchbase

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TOTVS Labs, the research and development branch of TOTVS, has just partnered with Couchbase, provider of the most complete NoSQL database. TOTVS, the largest software provider in Latin America, is the first Latin American company to partner with Couchbase and will OEM Couchbase Server in the Fluig Platform.

NoSQL databases were created to support the massive growth of data volume, velocity and variety. In comparison to traditional relational databases, which use a rigid schema-based approach, NoSQL can support unexpected changes to an application, massive spikes in concurrent users, as well as store various forms of data, whether it be unstructured, semi-structured or structured.
