TouchTunes and Photo Finish Records Partner In Search of 2014's Next Breakout Band

NEW YORK, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TouchTunes, the largest interactive entertainment platform in North America, and Photo Finish Records, a joint venture label with Republic Records (a division of Universal Music Group) are joining forces in search of America's next big talent. The TouchTunes 2014 Breakout Band contest will take place this summer and allow unsigned artists a chance to win a single release with Photo Finish Records, as well as $3,000 and a national music promotion on TouchTunes.

Breakout Band puts a modern twist on battle of the bands, reviving the age-old live music competition through TouchTunes' #1 social jukebox mobile app and its network of location-based jukeboxes. The contest will give 500 indie artists the opportunity to have their music promoted to 30MM+ users at over 60,000 TouchTunes' bars and restaurants nationwide.

Unsigned artists will compete by submitting one original song at www.touchtunes.com/breakoutband for consideration. The first 500 submissions will be added to a national themed music playlist and promoted across the TouchTunes network. Fans of competing bands will be encouraged to download the TouchTunes mobile app, find locations and blast their favorite band's music at their local hangout. A panel of music experts, including Matt Galle, Photo Finish Record's President and Paradigm Talent Agent, will evaluate entries based upon various criteria including creativity, originality of music and public appeal. The winning band will be announced in late September.
