Touro University Worldwide Announces Chair for Online Master's Degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Bernard Luskin, CEO and Senior Provost of Touro Worldwide University today announced Dr. Arnie Dahlke as Chair and Program Director for the innovative Master's degree program in Industrial & Organizational Psychology (I/O Psychology). "I/O Psychology is a growing field of study and is expected to have a 26 percent increase in jobs through the year 2018. Arnie Dahlke will provide the experienced leadership to make this program a success," Luskin said.
"I'm very excited by our program," said Dr. Dahlke. "My goal is for the program to be 100% student-oriented. Courses will be online and convenient for a person working full time who is interested in furthering his or her career. TUW classes are small. They are personal and attention from faculty is frequent and tailored to the needs of each student. I work personally with each student," he emphasized.
"TUW programs are in demand by adult learners who are enrolling daily. According to a recent Sloan Consortium report, there are now over six million students learning online. (Babson Survey Research Group, 2011). Touro's online programs are expertly designed for the working adult. New advances in media and distance learning enable students to fit their courses into the way they live, work and travel. A computer and Internet connection are all students need to participate in a virtual classroom," Dahlke explained.
"Graduates of the program are prepared to help organizations improve leadership, management, work processes and collaborative behaviors from inside an organization or from the insight of an external coach and organizational consultant. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the average salary for I/O psychologists is $86,460 annually noting that the top 5% earn $250,000 or higher," he added.
TUW is now enrolling new students every day. To discuss a program or find out how you can apply or participate, please contact:
