TP-LINK Maintains Lead in Global WLAN Market Share Rankings

SHENZHEN, China, July 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TP-LINK, a global provider of networking products, has continued to maintain a dominant lead in the global WLAN market share rankings by units shipped, according to Worldwide Quarterly WLAN Tracker, May 2012 by leading IT market research and advisory firm IDC, ranking the world's wireless networking equipment vendors by product shipments and revenues.

With a 34% share of the WLAN market, based on products shipped, TP-LINK has gained an early lead in 2012 over competing vendors, seeing more shipment volume than the next two leading vendors combined. This is not, however, the first time that TP-LINK has topped the WLAN industry, having, according to the same report, been consistently ranked the world's largest supplier of Wireless networking products, at least from Q1 2011, the earliest data that IDC has on record for TP-LINK.

Despite these positive results, the company remains focused.
