- Second Quarter Results - On July 29, 2015, Siliconware Precision Industries Co. Ltd. (SPIL) announced its financial results for the second quarter and first half of the year. The Company reported consolidated sales revenue for Q2 at NT$ 21,240 million (US$ 688.8 million) as compared to first quarter revenues of NT$ 20,805.2 million, thereby clocking a growth of 2.1% on a sequential basis. SPIL generated a net income of NT$ 3,677.5 million (US$ 119.3 million) for the quarter vis-à-vis a net income of NT$ 2,614.5 million the Company earned in the first quarter of 2015.
- Six Months Results - For the first half of the year, the revenues stood at NT$ 42,045.3 million (US$ 1,348.8 million) as compared to revenues of NT$ 39,988.4 million reported in H1 FY14, thereby clocking a growth of 5.1% on a y-o-y basis. Net income for the first half reported by SPIL was NT$ 6,292 million (US$ 202.2 million) vis-à-vis reported net income of NT$ 5,469 million reported in the prior year period exhibiting a 15% y-o-y growth. Basic earnings per share for H1 FY15 was NT$ 2.02, while the diluted earnings per ordinary share was NT$ 1.76.
- Operating Results - For the second quarter, the Company's net revenues from IC packaging operations came in at NT$ 18,726 million and accounted for 88% of the total net revenues. The revenues from the IC packaging operations were up 1.9% sequentially. Substrate-based packaging, leadframe-based packaging and wafer bumping & Flip Chip accounted for 25%, 18% and 45%, respectively, of total net revenues for the second quarter of 2015. Testing operations chipped in with revenues of NT$ 2,514 million and made up 12% of the Company's total net revenues. Revenues of the testing operations were up 3.2% on a sequential basis. As of June 30, 2015, SPIL had 539 testers installed, of which 13 were added and 1 was disposed in Q2 FY15.
