Traffic Spike: Dunkin' Donuts Brings Rob Gronkowski To Waze As Newest Celebrity Voice Option

CANTON, Mass., Aug. 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dunkin' Donuts, America's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is bringing local fan favorite to Waze, the crowd-sourced traffic and navigation app. As part of Dunkin' Donuts' partnership with Waze, the brand has arranged for football star Rob Gronkowski to be the latest free celebrity voice to help users across New England and the United States tackle any drive with turn-by-turn directions.

Beginning today, Waze users can select Gronkowski's voice to help them make it to their destination as quickly and easily as Gronk running unblocked to the end zone. In addition to providing directions and traffic conditions, Gronkowski will also remind users about Dunkin' Donuts locations along the way where they can keep themselves running with the brand's famous coffee, beverages and sandwiches, including Dunkin' Donuts' new Tailgater Sandwich. The latest addition to Dunkin' Donuts' all-day lineup features egg, reduced fat cheddar cheese and juicy split smoked sausage topped with fire-roasted peppers and grilled onion mix and Ancho Chipotle sauce on an oven-toasted French Roll.

Rob Gronkowski signed a two year contract with Dunkin' Donuts earlier this year. After typing in their destination address, Waze users can drive with the app open on their phone to navigate to their end destination, and can also contribute traffic and other road data, share road reports on accidents, or any other hazards along the way, helping to give other users in the area a 'heads-up' about what's to come.
