Trans Marine Propulsion Systems Appointed A Member of Hyundai Heavy Industries EMD Global Service Network
SEATTLE, Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle- and Florida-based Trans Marine Propulsion Systems, Inc. (TMPS), known worldwide for its diesel service and engineering department, has been appointed a member of Hyundai Heavy Industries - EMD's (HHI-EMD) Global Service Network and is their Designated Cooperative Repairer.
HHI- EMD (http://english.hhi.co.kr/main/) was established in 1972 and has grown into one of the world's leading heavy industries companies. The engine and machinery division is the world's largest marine diesel engine builder, with approximately 35% global market share. The division reached the production milestone of 100 million bhp (brake horsepower) in 2-stroke engines on September 29, 2010. The division is also a leading manufacturer of propellers, cargo oil pumps, ballast water treatment systems, and side thrusters.
