GREER, S.C., June 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Dad and his desire to watch the basketball finals on Father's Day, Buffets, Inc. brands (owner of Ryan's®, Country Buffet®, HomeTown® Buffet, Old Country Buffet®, Fire Mountain® and Granny's Buffet(SM)) are turning back the clock, offering traditional dinner fare as early as 10 a.m.  The family-friendly restaurants, known for their great steaks, are offering a "Surf and Turf" special beginning at 10 a.m., giving dads and their kids plenty of time to make it home to watch the game.

"There is nothing better than a day with family, especially when that day can involve great sports and great food," said Jason Abelkop , Chief Marketing Officer for Buffets.  "We are offering families the chance to enjoy a great meal together, whenever they're ready to eat."

Abelkop says that the whole purpose of the promotion is to cater to what dads really want.  "Father's Day is a day when dads should be able to have it all on their day," he said.

Starting at 10 a.m., all buffets restaurants will feature steak and butterfly shrimp.  Additional carved meats, home-style sides, the fresh salad bar and expansive dessert bar are also available for no extra charge.
