Tri-State Enterprises Chooses MAM Software's Autopart™ as "Best Tool Set" Available for the Aftermarket's Replacement Parts Sector Autopart to provide feature-rich functionality and ease-of-use to Arkansas company expanding their business into replacement parts
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Jan. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MAM Software, Inc (NASDAQ: MAMS), a leading provider of business management solutions, has announced Tri-State Enterprises, a truck accessories wholesale distributor and member of The Network, will install Autopart business management software at its locations in Fort Smith and Little Rock, Arkansas.
Tri-State Enterprises started in 1974 as a Ford Authorized Distributor (FAD), offering Motorcraft with a line of aftermarket Truck and SUV accessories and priding itself on great service at the lowest possible prices. Nearly 40 years later in 2012, Tri-State's management team decided it was time to take the business in a new direction and began executing plans to expand their offering to include aftermarket replacement parts.
Incorporating the strategy presented challenges:
"The replacement parts initiative strained our existing business management software," said Tristan Taylor, General Operations Manager. "We needed aftermarket specific functionality, including parts lookup, better inventory management and a system that allowed for product scanning in and out. We also needed the ability to handle EDI to speed up receiving. Without those enhancements, we knew our initiative wouldn't succeed as well as we had envisioned. It quickly became clear that we needed the best tool set available if we wanted to become a competitive force within the replacement parts sector of the aftermarket."
Looking for a modern solution with deep aftermarket functionality, Tri-State began evaluating aftermarket distribution software. One by one, the list of potential partners shortened, as Autopart from MAM software continued to hold their position "at the top of our list."
"What impressed us most about MAM Software is the feature-rich functionality and the ease of which it can adapt to our unique business needs today and well into the future," continued Taylor. "After visiting a business who had already implemented Autopart and seeing the software in action, we were convinced that it was the right solution for us."
Autopart is a versatile business-management solution that fuses sales, stock management, accounting and reporting processes that will supply Tri-State Enterprises with:
- Rapid parts lookup for phone room sales staff and customers in the field
- Inventory speedily received into their system
- Better inventory forecasting - product on the shelf when it is needed and returned when overstocked
- A faster e-commerce fulfillment process
The powerful software coordinates, organizes, and combines everything from quote preparation and stock management to accounting and database management.
"We welcome Tri-State Enterprise to our growing group of Autopart customers in the North America territory," stated Brian Allibon, President of MAM Software's Autopart Division. "We've enjoyed working with them on the early stages of this project and look forward to helping their business expansion succeed. They have big plans for the future and it's always exciting to be part of that."
