PHILADELPHIA, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) updated its investigative docket today providing additional, chilling factual evidence from the fatal May 12, 2015 Amtrak 188 derailment in Philadelphia. The docket, which documents that the train was traveling into a curve at 106 miles per hour in a 50 mph restricted zone, was updated to include a car-by-car occupant medical assessment based on a review of treatment records and/or autopsies of 172 of the 253 individuals (of which five were crew) on the train. There were eight passenger deaths and more than 200 injured, though today it was learned that there were nearly 597 total physical injuries suffered.
