Trilliant Given eMeter 2011 Technology Integration Award
Trilliant lauded for development innovation on top of the eMeter EnergyIP platform open architecture to extend new Smart Grid products to mutual customers
SAN MATEO, Calif. and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- eMeter Corporation, a leader in Smart Grid management software and Trilliant, a Smart Grid communications leader in delivering solutions that enhance energy efficiency, utility operations and renewable resource integration, today announced that Trilliant is the recipient of eMeter's 2011 Technology Integration Award.
eMeter announced Trilliant's award at the 2011 eMeter Leadership Conference, taking place May 9-11, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The conference brings together industry leaders in smart meter data management to discuss current trends and best practices, share ideas and experiences, and connect with like-minded professionals.
Trilliant has been recognized with the Technology Integration Award as they have become eMeter's first technology partner to develop, test and release a full integration with the eMeter EnergyIP 7 platform. Trilliant has created an adapter between Trilliant's UnitySuite Metering platform and eMeter that is deployed and in use by mutual customers. Both Trilliant and eMeter customers benefit from this integration through the rich feature set available with minimal total cost of ownership.
"Strong partnerships are critical to our customers' success," said Rob Conant, Senior Vice President, Network Products at Trilliant. "Trilliant is committed to providing our customers the ability to connect our standards-based SecureMesh communications products and UnitySuite head-end software platform to best-of-breed products from other vendors to help them accelerate the benefits of the Smart Grid. Integration with eMeter's platform is an important part of that commitment and we are delighted to receive this award from eMeter as recognition of this commitment."
The eMeter EnergyIP Meter Data Management platform is the first central platform with standards-based integration points to flexibly integrate with partner applications. Technology partners can quickly build their own adaptors, integrations and unique applications for the platform. These applications will soon be available for other eMeter customers to deploy via the "app store" model popular with consumer smartphones.
"We're very excited by the 'apps on 7' concept as we see new integrations from partners yielding innovative applications and functionality that our developer community will bring to customers," said Gary Bloom, CEO of eMeter. "This innovation and rapid delivery from our partner community will see mutual customers benefit with access to new Smart Grid products. For this reason, Trilliant is a very praiseworthy winner of our Technology Integration Award this year."
