TrueConf Introduces World's First Free Enterprise Unified Communications System
TrueConf introduces the first free software video conferencing server. TrueConf Server Free is unique in the Unified Communications (UC) world, not only because of its features, but also because of its unique business model
MOSCOW, December 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
TrueConf Server Free is a completely free enterprise-orientated unified communications platform designed to work in corporate local networks of any size and complexity, and over the Internet. The Free version is a special license for the already well known TrueConf Server and thus it utilizes the most modern technologies and algorithms which guarantee unparalleled connection quality and system durability.
The TrueConf Server Free License provides conferences for up to six participants with access to all group conferencing modes in resolutions of up to 4K (UltraHD). Participants can use client applications for all popular platforms (Windows, Linux, OS X, Android, iOS), collaboration tools, can conduct WebRTC-based conferences, and can also integrate their new system with existing VoIP and AV equipment.
The introduction of TrueConf Server Free is a natural development within the industry and its evolution from AV to IT, from hardware to software solutions. The solution embodies the desire of many companies to acquire free and secure video conferencing independent from external factors, provided in the form of on-premises solutions, and not a cloud service. The new product allows customers to substantially lower their business, travel, and communication expenses, and also to introduce distance education and group video conferencing to their organizations.
All it takes to deploy TrueConf Server Free is to download and install the software from the company's website, www.trueconf.com. After the activation process, the administrator will receive a software server limited to 6 users. It is possible to increase the number of users in accordance with TrueConf's licensing policy.
"The enterprise segment can show a lot of successful examples of the implementation of the Paywall business model, where the product is free to a certain extent. For example, we all know Dropbox, Avast and Wordpress" says Michael Gotalsky, TrueConf CEO. "We were inspired by these examples, and as leaders and innovators of the video conferencing industry, we have decided to be the first to implement this business model in the video conferencing market. We believe that this can make video conferencing more popular, and will help to increase business process effectiveness around the world."
