WATERTOWN, Mass., May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tufts Health Plan recently received two Web Health Awards, which honor the nation's best electronic health programs and web-based tools for consumers.

KeepingYouHealthy.com was awarded Gold recognition in the Social Network category and Merit recognition in the Microsite category.  KeepingYouHealthy.com is a website offering Massachusetts and Rhode Island residents an array of resources for healthy living.  In addition to highlighting local events focused on health, discounts, tips and seasonal activities, the site encourages user interaction among individuals who share ideas about fitness, nutrition, healthy living and offer solutions for overcoming common obstacles.

To help members better understand their health plans, Tufts Health Plan created educational videos for its website. These Advantage Resource Center videos won two awards—Silver recognition from the Web Health Awards and Merit recognition from the Healthcare Advertising Awards.  The videos break down confusing topics and present them in a light, easily understood manner.

Other notable category wins for various print pieces include the Healthy Aging 2009 Annual Report and Prenatal Care: A Woman's Guide which received Bronze recognition from the 2011 Aster Awards and the Healthcare Advertising Awards. The Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women application postcard also won Bronze recognition from the 2011 Aster Awards.
