SYDNEY, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Charterprime, an international financial services and brokerage group based out of Australia and New Zealand has agreed a strategic partnership with Tune Group Sdn Bhd, a leading Southeast Asian corporation with subsidiary businesses ranging from aviation to mobile money. The deal makes Charterprime the official partner and sole partner through which all of Tune Group's CFDs, foreign exchange and derivatives trading will be channeled through.
Tune Group's core businesses are in aviation, hospitality, insurance, telecommunications, education, mobile money and automotive technology, which include their crown jewels flagship airlines, the low cost carrier AirAsia and its long-haul flight counterpart AirAsia X. Tune Group will engage Charterprime in an official brokering partner capacity for all financial spot and futures products, namely foreign exchange as well as commodities such as oil, both to lower costs and to hedge against market volatility.
Tune Group Founder Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, CBE stated after the press conference, "We believe there is a lot of upside to ancillary income such as FX services, which is the reason why we are tying up with Charterprime. Charterprime is actually in this business and hence we can be very synergistic together, and complementary in building this business."
Charterprime Managing Partner Mathew Tate said, "We've seen a lot of growth in Asia Pacific, South East Asia in general, and we're looking to maintain that growth rate. This arrangement will significantly increase investors and clients confidence in Charterprime. Nevertheless, we will not rest on our laurels, and will continue to provide the best level of service and transparency that our clients are accustomed to."
