Twin Cities' EPG Security Group Parent Company Launches Medical, Guest Services Divisions
EPG is first Midwest security company to have medical division
MINNEAPOLIS, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The EPG family is growing today, as Entertainment Protection Group (EPG), the parent company of EPG Security Group, announces the launch of two new divisions that will turn EPG into a one-stop shop for major events: Joining EPG Security Group are EPG Event Medical Solutions and EPG Guest Services. With this expansion combined with the double-digit growth of its security division, EPG is now competing against some longtime well-known security companies for major events and festivals. One contract at a time, EPG is winning.
"Over the years, clients have always asked if we provide these kinds of services, as they regularly need to line up security, ticket-takers and ushers, and medical personnel, and they would prefer to take care of it all with one trusted source," said Erik Bergling, CEO and founder of Entertainment Protection Group, LLC. "We've had non-stop strong growth with our security business, and this has broadened the kinds of events we're able to compete for now. So we recognized the time is exactly right to expand. We're getting a good response and are already in talks with some of the largest, most well-known festivals in the Upper Midwest. And yes, we are hiring!"
EPG Event Medical Solutions will provide licensed and insured first responders, EMTs and paramedics to large-scale festivals and sporting events. No other security company in the Midwest has a stand-alone medical division. Starting with 10 to 20 employees, this division will provide first response or triage for event-goers and athletes and will help augment local fire departments, police and paramedics. Personnel will be grounded in the same customer service standards that EPG Security Group is known for.
EPG Guest Services will provide insured hosts, ushers and ticket-takers to large-scale festivals, sporting arenas, and other venues that use temporary services for these positions. The division will also offer waiter services to catering companies and informational personnel for airports, shopping malls and office buildings. While these personnel are not security agents, all personnel will be cross-trained with security and safety, as well as EPG's customer service standards. This division will start with 15 to 25 employees.
The past 18 months have seen several large-scale events and festivals change their security contracts to EPG Security Group, including most recently Red Bull Crashed Ice held in St. Paul in February, which drew a record crowd of 120,000 spectators on race day. More events are in the pipeline, with a number of organizers already discussing contracts with EPG's newest divisions.
