Finalists Applauded for 'Safety & Security' and 'Community Relations & Communications'

• Created Neighborhood Watch program, working closely with local police
• Amended bylaws to include mandatory background checks, owner key submission to association and current vehicle license plates
• Maintained Web site and email campaigns to promote continued communication
• Established social events to encourage networking

• Installed memorial benches to recognize residents who have volunteered numerous hours
• Mounted community information holders on all mailboxes.
• Implemented numerous communication vehicles: Web site, bulletin boards, "The Edgewater Crier" newsletter, emails and social events  
• Created "The Dirty Dozen" volunteer group to lead maintenance projects, resulting in cost savings
