CHICAGO, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Live presented the Cruise Shipping Virtual Event on September 28, 2010. The online event focuses on sustainability for the cruise industry. UBM Studios, a leader in virtual events and virtual business solutions, provided the 3D platform for the event. The event is now available on demand.
The event offers two educational webinars focused on sustainable tourism issues - Greening of the Supply Chain and Sustainable Tourism 101, opportunities to meet suppliers showcasing new products and services and networking with industry leaders.
Organized in association with Sustainable Travel International, the webinars are part of a three-tiered series for the Green Travel Certificate Program administered in partnership with Sustainable Travel International which will include both online and face-to-face conference sessions. The focus of the Green Travel Certificate Program is to educate travel professionals and suppliers on the benefits associated with sustainable tourism. To participate in the program attendees must attend a designated number of sessions either online or at the physical event.
The event includes an Auditorium and Sponsor Suites featuring Geodis Wilson, ActivTek and TeakDecking where attendees were able to meet the sponsors, download company information and learn about new products. In the Networking Lounge event attendees were able to chat with peers one-on-one or in group chats.
Registration for the event included 435 cruise line decision-makers, suppliers and members of the media with close to 200 unique visitors attending on September 28. The event is available on-demand through December 28, 2010.
