Ufirst's 'Nuguna Neckband', The First Environmental Awareness Device Launches Successfully on Kickstarter

GYUONGGI-DO, South Korea, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ufirst (CEO Fedora Lee) released the world's first environmental awareness device, 'NUGUNA Neckband', on June 22, 2017, on Kickstarter. In just three days, 'NUGUNA Neckband' has exceeded its funding goal of 30,000 USD.

Designed for people with hearing loss, 'NUGUNA Neckband' is a device worn around the neck. When a high-pitched sound occurs around the wearer, the device alerts them to the sound's direction.

Ufirst's CEO, Fedora Lee explained that 'NUGUNA Neckband' was made to make the world a better place through using technology. "With NUGUNA, anyone can do what everyone can," he added. In addition he said, "Only 3 days after launching on Kickstarter in June 2017 our funding goals were achieved."

Ergonomically designed and light weight, 'NUGUNA Neckband' sits comfortably around the neck even when worn for long periods of time. This makes it attractive even to people who do not use a hearing aid yet want to remain alert by the device's sound detection and vibration signals.

'NUGUNA Neckband' is offered in two models. The first, 'NUGUNA Neckband OFF (NNF-001)' is able to detect high pitched sounds and to alert the wearer to their directions. The second, 'NUGUNA Neckband ON (NNO-001)' is accompanied by a mobile application which allows the user to easily change it vibration configurations, receive alerts of phone calls, social media notifications, and even set an alarm clock using the device's vibrations. 'NUGUNA Neckband On (NNO-001)' can also be used independently to detect sounds even if the application is not switched on or when connection is lost.

A unique optional feature of the 'NUGUNA Neckband ON (NNO-001)' is the ability to receive natural disaster alerts (earthquakes, tornadoes and more) based on information provided by the USGS (United States Geological Survey).

Running its Kickstarter campaign until the 6th of August, Ufirst offers the offline model for at 128 USD, which represents a 35% discount from retail price. The online model is offered for 158 USD, which represents a 36% discount of the 248 USD retail price.
