The institute has welcomed 10 innovative companies into the incubator program in a six-month period. It is at 95 percent capacity level and has accumulated an additional $37,000 in sponsorship funding to date in 2016.

- Assembly Biosciences, Inc. – new oral therapeutics for treating hepatitis B
- Curtiss Healthcare, Inc. – Salmonella vaccine development
- AlphaChem Innovations, Inc. – marketing insecticide for Varroa mites
- Amend Surgical – novel orthobiologics in bone graft repair
With a successful track record nurturing and accelerating sustainable biotech and biosciences businesses, the Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute helps to grow the economy of both the region and the state, creating jobs and producing substantial investment.
