UISOL to Sponsor Course on Demand Response Markets and ISO/RTO Integration

CHICAGO, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Utility Integration Solutions (UISOL), the utility industry business integration specialist, will sponsor a two-day course called, "Participating in ISO/RTO Demand Response Markets" hosted by Electric Utility Consultants, Inc. Three UISOL executives plan to instruct courses on demand response (DR) integration strategies for ISO/RTO market participants who want to break into the wholesale markets at PJM Interconnection, the Midwest ISO, and the California ISO.  There are three courses over the two-day event addressing these topics. Course descriptions are as follows:

• Wholesale Demand Response Market Concepts provides attendees with a broad overview of current demand response programs, key concepts of the DR market, and an understanding of the three wholesale markets listed above.  The instructor for this course is Scott Coe, Ph.D. who is Vice President at UISOL and assists the ISO/RTO Council develop standards for initiatives such as demand response measurement and certification standards.
• Integrating Retail Customers into Wholesale Markets plans to guide the audience through the necessary steps to take part in the DR market with ISO's and RTO's. Fulin Zhang, Ph.D. teaches this course. He is a Vice President at UISOL where he develops solutions and consults on business process transformation, scheduling energy supply resources and bidding and settlement to ISO/RTO market participants.
• Optimizing Operations Using Process Management & New Technology Solutions is taught by Ali Vojdani, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of UISOL. This course focuses on moving forward in business processes and DR technologies needed after implementation, as well as lessons learned from previous implementations.

The course is open to all individuals responsible for their company's DR program management, especially those who plan on integrating a DR program into their companies.
