SOUTHAMPTON, England, May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
This June, the UK fitness sector will gain a key fitness event. The brand new UK Fitness Convention, powered by body●LIFE UK magazine, will offer a comprehensive programme to UK fitness professionals across the board of the profession.
The UK Fitness Convention, characterised by the high quality of individual visitors and speakers, will offer a combination of CPD-certified, quality management education and exposure to new product innovations. Visitors can also expect shared industry insights and networking possibilities. It will be powered by sole media partner body●LIFE UK Magazine, the latest addition to the family of European fitness trade magazines, and organised by Topaz Consulting, the organiser of Spa Life, the successful UK spa convention.
All in all, visitors can expect a bespoke experience with a focus on education, customised events, small group networking, one-to-one meetings, a conference, a mini expo and a CEO Summit meeting. The convention has been designed to attract the full range of operational personnel working in the fitness industry; from CEOs, managers, supervisors and fitness professionals to sales and marketing specialists. "The key element here is choice in order to attract a diverse range of industry professionals," said the event's Director Mike Fitch from Topaz, who with the event intends to help improve the quality of management and supervisory education in the sector and expose best practice to all layers.
body●LIFE has been the leading trade fitness magazine leader in Europe since 1988, and by partnering with body●LIFE UK it is the organiser's aim to provide a wider European perspective to the event. The magazine was also chosen by Topaz to help drive the UK market forward with good communication, the sharing of ideas and innovation.
"We are very much looking forward to working with Topaz on this event, which we feel is well-timed for the industry in the UK," said Michael van Munster the publisher of body●LIFE UK and also body●LIFE Netherlands and Belgium about Topaz, which has been involved with organising events and seminars for the leading spa trade body in the UK, the Spa Business Association (SpaBA) since 2002. "We have chosen to work with Topaz because of the company's great achievements, which are second to none. Spa Life has already proven after four years to be an incredibly successful convention and we feel privileged to be able to work with its organiser to do the same for the health and fitness industry."
With the event, the organisers intend to bring a new concept to the market, different from the many first-rate events that are already taking place in the sector. "Everyone we have spoken to has stated that the industry needs an event such as this whereby clubs and fitness facilities can send their staff to update their knowledge and skills," said Mike.
Since organisation of the event started, a new special CEO Summit has been added for the 10th of June, and Dr Paul Thomas, the BBC's "Business Doctor" and leading management guru has been confirmed as a speaker.
The bodyLIFE UK Conference will be held June 10 and 11, 2013, at the Wyboston Lakes Executive Conference, Centre Great North Road, Wyboston, Bedfordshire MK44 3AL. Its Spa Life conference is structured using a variety of industry-leading key note presenters and offers three tracks - strategic; sales and marketing; and operations, which are the three key areas for running a leisure business. In addition, there are a number of specific workshops for delegates to attend.
Spa Life, which was first held in 2010, was designed to accommodate a need for improved education and continuing professional development (CPD). Starting with a one-day conference it attracted 180 delegates and eight sponsors, and in 2011 the event took place over two days and involved a CEO Summit and one-to-one meetings, and a full conference. By 2012 it attracted over 300 delegates and 20 sponsors.
