UL Environment Cites Transparency and Performance as Top Trends in New Green Building Products and Materials Paper
MARIETTA, Ga., Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new white paper published today by UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), explores current and projected trends in green product certifications, building programs, and construction codes, underscoring the value both of transparency and performance-based metrics in sustainability leadership.
The paper, "Driving Performance and Transparency in Green Building Products and Materials," also examines tools, such as sustainable product certifications, lifecycle analyses (LCAs), and environmental product declarations (EPDs), that can be used for evaluating and selecting environmentally preferable products.
