ulrich medical USA™ Releases New Spinal Implant for US Market - golden gate® Lateral Plate System

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --ulrich medical USA, Inc. today announced the US market release of the golden gate® Lateral Plate System, a novel German-designed spinal implant system that is used for the anterior surgical stabilization of the thoracic and lumbar spine (T1-L5).  

"This product is intended to provide anterior column stabilization after the removal of a vertebral body and can be used with an endoscopic or open approach," said Hans Stover , President and Chief Executive Officer, ulrich medical USA.

The unique feature of this implant system is the two-part plate design (C-plate and gate) which gives the surgeon an unobstructed field of vision and open access to the intervertebral space during surgery. The system's locking plate technology incorporates cannulated and conical polyaxial screws allowing for polyaxial movement to maintain proper balance and ease of insertion during surgery.
