DALLAS, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultravision International, the global leader in LED digital displays, and Active International partnered with Clear Channel UK to bring home top honors from the Gala Awards held on Dec. 3, 2015, and produced by DailyDOOH. Their Storm Cromination London display earned "Best Original Digital Billboard."
"We are thrilled for Clear Channel UK and pleased they brought us in to provide the digital displays for Storm Cromination," said William Hall, CEO of Ultravision International. "They are a forward-thinking company and this award recognizes that."
Storm Cromination London is a revitalization of the iconic Cromwell Road advertising site. This fall, Clear Channel UK installed 1,200 of Ultravision's Master Series UltraPanels to convert the original space to 6 LED digital displays. The displays were made available to Clear Channel through its partnership with Active International UK. This 223 square meter installation will make the Cromination site on Cromwell Road the largest LED display in Europe. Advertisers now have the ability to add dynamic content to their messages to attract even more attention from the thousands of people who pass the site each week.
"Ultravision is excited to be partner with Clear Channel UK to provide our new technologically advanced Master Series UltraPanel, for Storm Cromination London. This project will elevate the Cromwell Road site to the premier advertising site in London," said William Hall, CEO and co-founder of Ultravision International.
"Our Cromwell Road site is one of the UK's most famous Out of Home advertising sites and transforming it to digital is one of the biggest projects Clear Channel is undertaking anywhere in the world this year," said Will Ramage, Business Development Director at Clear Channel UK. "We believe combining six state-ofthe-art Ultravision screens with the site's famous special build capabilities will mean Storm Cromination London can offer advertisers the most creative space in UK Out of Home media."
Brands have the opportunity to impact 2 million commuters bi-weekly on Cromwell Road, Europe's busiest A-road that connects London to Heathrow airport.
"The installation at Cromwell Road is the latest step in Active's burgeoning relationship with Clear Channel UK. We are proud to be involved in the most iconic of all out of home sites," said Mark Chippendale, UK managing director, Active International.
The lightweight Ultravision UltraPanel allowed Clear Channel UK to offer advertisers responsive content while retaining the special build elements that made Cromination famous. Advertisers are able to purchase the entire 72-meter Ultravision LED Display. The LED Display is in six sections to allow brands the flexibility to adjust the space as needed, such as assigning different messages to each section or placing one message across all six sections at once.
