UMC Receives 2012 Best Supplier Award from Lantiq

HSINCHU, Taiwan, Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE: UMC; TSE: 2303) ("UMC"), a leading global semiconductor foundry, today announced that it has received the "Best Supplier Award" from Lantiq for 2012. Lantiq presents this award annually to one selected supplier for their contributions to the company's success. The award was presented to CEO of UMC Mr. Po Wen Yen during a visit to Lantiq's headquarters in Neubiberg, Germany.
