Unique Home Designs Raises $11.5 Million in Equity and Debt Financing

PHOENIX, April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Unique Home Designs, Inc. (UHD), the market leading supplier of security screen doors, gates, and window guards for the home, today announced it has raised $11.5 million in equity and debt financing to support its growth and expansion strategies.  The $11.5 million capital raise included an $8.0 million equity round of financing led by Sid R. Bass Associates and a $3.5 million credit facility with Comerica Bank.  UHD intends to use the proceeds from the financing to continue to expand its product offerings, enter new sales geographies and channels, scale its manufacturing capabilities and invest in marketing programs.
